It's our mission to provide equal artistic and educational opportunities for the children of our community and to foster an environment where everyone is welcome.
OTSCT specializes in:
Classical Theatre Education: Students are immersed in all aspects of the theatre world, from the Stanislavski System to Uta Hagen's set of exercises that emphasize realism and truthful behavior. These acting techniques are taught throughout the audition process, blocking, vocal work, choreography, character development, and so much more.
Weekly Rehearsals: Students participate in weekly rehearsals where they work with a group of peers in an ensemble setting. Each rehearsal is steeped in classical acting techniques which provide a real time learning platform for success. We teach and direct with the knowledge that each student is unique and meet them at their needs.OTSCT believes that if you lead with love and acceptance it opens the door for a child to be filled with confidence, courage and creativity on the stage.
Professional Performances: Students get a Broadway experience by performing on the beautiful stage at The Eagle Theatre of Sugar Hill. Our students are fortunate to work with many designers, choreographers, teachers, and other industry professionals. OTSCT provides many performance opportunities and is a year round children's theatre program.
