In my spare time, I enjoy city adventures with my daughter, I’m actively involved in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and I’m a passionate smoothie enthusiast. I initially considered veterinary school because of my love for animals but discovered my true calling in family law, graduating with honors from Valdosta State University.
I made the change to family law through my internship because I truly fell in love with the profession. I am passionate about discovering people’s needs and in no other field of law is this as important as in family law. I like to be prepared, so I took three years of Latin in college so I could grasp a more immediate understanding of legal terms. I also won a favorable jury trial verdict eight weeks after being sworn into the State Bar of Georgia. This achievement showed that I could jump right into solving whatever problems my clients presented.
My clients find that I engage with them in detailed discussions to get the information needed to create an individualized course of action for each case. Discovering my client’s true needs is one of my many specialties. Family law is not an assembly line activity. I am experienced in mediation, depositions, and custody cases in which a Guardian ad Litem has been appointed by the court to investigate the merit of the issues. I am a certified Guardian Ad Litem and can lean on my own knowledge and understanding when weighing the gravity of custody disputes between parties.
I handle cases regarding spousal support, alimony, child support, contempt actions, father’s rights, depositions, mediations, cases involving DFACS, third parties, and much more. As the Managing Attorney of Legally Rooted Law, I take pride in ensuring that my clients find the results favorable. If I ever have the opportunity to represent you, I promise that you’ll be in great hands. I look forward to serving your family soon!
