My passion is to advocate and protect the rights of families of children with disabilities. For the past 35 years, I have represented countless families of children with disabilities in Gwinnett County and throughout the state of Georgia. I also have taught special education law as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Georgia School of Law.
My philosophy is to ensure that children with disabilities receive a free appropriate education in the least restrictive environment in public schools. This can be accomplished through informal and formal means including review of educational records, attend IEP meetings, file state and Office of Civil Rights complaints for violation of special education laws and litigation, when necessary. Most importantly, every parent should be heard by educators and school administrators as knowing what the educational needs of their child are.
