Kids Crossing Learning Center at First United Methodist Church is a non-profit weekday school.
The mission of Kids Crossing Learning Center is to provide quality Christian educational programs for children, infant through 8 years of age, in a safe and nurturing environment. Our qualified staff seeks to team with parents to encourage physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual growth through developmentally appropriate activities. As a ministry of First United Methodist Church and a part of the Lawrenceville community, our purpose in all things is to unify children and families with Jesus Christ.
Our curriculum day begins at 9:00 am; please make every effort to bring your child to school by that time. Lesson plans are developed weekly and are posted in the classroom. Our classrooms are set up in a learning center configuration, which allows the child to choose his/her activities. The children are guided and encouraged to learn new self-help skills, think for themselves, make choices, experiment, explore, make mistakes, and have a lot of fun. Kids Crossing Learning Center uses Age Appropriate Milestones and Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards, which provides the framework on which teachers develop lesson plans. Our lesson plans build an early childhood program that allows children to grow and develop as Jesus did-mentally, physically, socially, and spiritually. Luke 2:52
