Exercising and Fitness have been passions of mine growing up as I come from an athletic family.
Just like any normal child; I wanted to be active and get involved in sports, but growing up with Epilepsy which caused seizures made it very difficult for me .
I suffered from Epilepsy from ages nine until 16 and that made being active a challenge as exercise triggered my seizure episodes.
Thankfully in 2007; my disorder was cured through a brain operation at Emory hospital and I have been seizure free since 2011.
After almost ten years of being seizure free in 2019; there was still a part of me that questioned if my disorder was permanently gone.
Growing up in a competitive family; I had to push myself to really see if I was truly cured.
Boxing was always a passion of mine, but of course; I was not medically fit to box growing up.
I started Boxing four years ago as a challenge and to see if my disorder was truly gone.
Thankfully, I have not had any seizures since I started taking up a sport such as Boxing which is known for brain injuries and head trauma.
With the courage and strength I have gained through my journey; I look to pass on the same strengths to my clients and help others build confidence and stay in shape through Personal Training.
